DID YOU ALREADY TRY TO CATCH THE ACTUAL MEANING OF THE MARRIAGE?

 

The key provided by the Bible about the marriage, and that should absolutely be understood, is its aim:

 

 

This message must help us to understand why the fight for the equality of sexes should be nonsense for the believers since in the couple, man and woman are expected to become two distinct and absolutely different parts of a same body.

It means that, as well as the eye and the hand of your body do not fight to have the same rights and become equal, the man and the woman should never fight for the equality of the sexes.

On the contrary, their respective actions should work towards the good health of the couple just like the various parts of the human body were conceived to work towards good physical and spiritual conditions of men.

A good illustration of this is given by Paul:

 

"²² Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. ²³For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. ²⁴Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.
²⁵Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, ²⁶that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, ²⁷that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. ²⁸So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. ²⁹For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church. ³⁰For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones.

³¹"For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh."

³²This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church. ³³Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband." (Ephesians 5:22-33).

 

It is interesting to note that Jesus-Christ has to some extent left his Father to come and link himself to his future wife: Israel in the broad sense is indeed expected to become Jesus-Christ's.

In these days when fidelity between the two members of the couple is very seldom, and if you believe in the existence of your Creator, read what follows to understand the pain you are likely to cause Him if you are unfaithful:

 

"¹³And this is the second thing you do:
        You cover the altar of Yehoah with tears,
        With weeping and crying;
        So He does not regard the offering anymore,
        Nor receive it with goodwill from your hands.
        ¹⁴Yet you say, "For what reason?"
        Because Yehoah has been witness
        Between you and the wife of your youth,
        With whom you have dealt treacherously;
        Yet she is your companion
        And your wife by covenant.
        ¹⁵But did He not make them one,
        Having a remnant of the Spirit?
        And why one?
        He seeks godly offspring.
        Therefore take heed to your spirit,
        And let none deal treacherously with the wife of his youth.
        ¹⁶"For Yehoah Elohim of Israel says
        That He hates divorce,
        For it covers one's garment with violence,"
        Says Yehoah of hosts.
       

(Malachi 2:13-16).

 

But, while taking all the teachings of your Father into account, if you start to walk with your Creator and build a faithful and strong marriage to become one flesh, here is how your couple will be seen by those who surround you:

 

(Proverbs 12:4).

Only one flesh, the flesh of a king crowned by the great value and prestige given by his wife!
